With hunting season RIGHT around the corner... basically here if we're being real.
We wanted to make this limited run coffee a fun one!
With a Goose hunt on the Schedule for October 9th, this limited run coffee being from the country of Burundi, a wild love of history and a infatuation with all things Americana; this theme fits in perfectly for this coffee.
Real quick, about the coffee. Burundi Kalico!
I realized we've never shown this coffee off just by itself. It's only ever been in blends.
The country of Burundi is about the size of Maryland to give you a size reference here in the States.
They focus, HIGHLY, on quality of their coffee there and not so much on quantity.
You're getting a DAMN GOOD cup of coffee outta this one if I do say so myself!
Tasting notes of this bad boy are Black Cherry, Tangerine, Caramel, Red Apple, a sweet and smooth melony finish!
A great coffee for the morning hunts!
So why the name Africa Game Trail? Why hunt themed?
Time of the year is one thing, but doing some digging and reading about Burundi I found out about the Smithsonian Africa Expedition led by Theodore Roosevelt.
T.R. being an avid hunter, this expedition passing NEAR the country of Burundi, the history behind it all and the book written by T.R. about the expedition called African Game Trails just seemed right.
The history.
The hunt.
The authentic aura around it all.
“These things can be told. But there are no words that can tell the hidden spirit of the wilderness, that can reveal its mystery, its melancholy, and its charm.” - Theodore Roosevelt.
Can't beat an early morning coffee in the stand, blind, or by the wetlands.
Stoked to bring y'all this delicious coffee!
