I started Viking Coffee Co in 2016 with little knowledge of how businesses work, the coffee world, or marketing the product. What I did know was that I had an idea that I wanted to follow through on. The first order I ever got that wasn't from my mom was from a Dan Franklin on December 11, 2016. I had launched our website in late October 2016.
In January of 2017 VCC only got 2 orders; $31.21 is all we made that month. February that number went to $75.31. $125.84 in March. $143.54 in April and $270.80 in May. A majority of our loyal customers found us in 2017 and made their first purchases with us. Raul R. Jason D. Heidi M. John W. Matthew S. Stephen P. Thank you, I'm grateful you all are still with us.
All of those folks are still with us today in some capacity whether it's every few months or every month. I appreciate everyone who's supported us since then and continues to support us today. We've brought an idea into reality far more real than I could have imagined and we're just getting started. 2025 is the start of the next chapter.
In the last 8 years we've figured out why Viking Coffee Co exists and what we're here to do. We're here to ignite the adventurous and courageous American spirit and impact the culture and lives of those we meet. Damn good coffee is a vehicle for these relationships to be formed.
The crucible of the last 8 years has taught us a lot about running VCC.
The next 8 will be no different. Our major goals for the next few years is to finally get the business out of debt, get our bags made here in America, custom boxes made for our shipments, purchase an San Franciscan 25 roaster, purchase land to build the first VCC Headquarters on, and collaborate with more brands we love.
We're looking forward to whats ahead of us.
Keep moving forward.
